What bothers me, though, is that death seems to be a common enough occurrence among us for it to happen multiple times.

It probably won't happen too many times if you're careful.

Thanks. I appreciate you being reasonable about my choice to stay away from the gods, even though you're a priest. I spoke to another priest of the Fourth shortly before I was killed. She was a kid and... a goblin? I think? She was also very nice.

It's a real mess, this whole thing.

I know Javert is one of the Fog priests, and... I'm not entirely sure how I feel about him. Then there's Aunamee. I don't know the other Fog priests or Fourth priests, but I guess right now one side has come off a lot more positively than the other.

In any case, her priests do tend to have a certain... "presence" when you speak to them in person.
I'm not sure if that's exactly the same kind of presence as what Aunamee has, though.

I think Judai did have a cape or something now that I think about it. And I know Aunamee has one. I guess that might be the "presence." Very literally. Except Aunamee's is definitely more than just the cape.
